Matt 25: 'The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."'
When Israel was created by the UN resolution 181, a part of Palestine was set aside for Israel. It was no problem for the Jewish Palestinians in the area of the future state of Israel, but some non-Jewish Palestinians were driven into exile, sometimes using methods that may have amounted to genocide, but at any rate ethnic cleansing. That big group of refugees are still, after more than 50 years, not able to return home.
Barack Obama has said that he does not support the right of those refugees to return to the homeland of their ancestors. The only US president who seems to understand what a tremendous crime against humanity is taking place in Palestine, is Jimmy Carter.
As Jesus taught us, himself born in Palestine, a Jewish Palestinian no less, whatever is done to some is done to us all. That is why we are all Palestinians - the entire world is suffering from this crime. There can be no peace in the Middle East until there is Justice. That is why we are all Palestinians. We are all victims.
Next time you fill your car, remember that the high price of gas is partly because of the crime against the Palestinians. It's all related, economy, foreign policy, justice, freedom, democracy.
